Anew Senior Placement

Our story

The heart behind Anew.

A husband-and-wife team. Two careers in service. One agency built on the values that have guided them their whole lives.

Diana Garcia and Ron Plummer, founders of Anew Senior Placement Agency

Diana & Ron

When Ron and Diana met in 2012, they quickly realized their connection ran deeper than shared interests. They shared a calling. Both had built careers defined by service, compassion, and showing up for people during life's most vulnerable moments. As their relationship grew into marriage, that shared purpose became the foundation of their life together.

Throughout years of demanding work in healthcare and fire service, they supported one another through long shifts, difficult decisions, and the emotional weight that comes with caring for others. Their partnership was shaped by resilience, teamwork, and a shared belief that meaningful work is work done in service to others.

In 2025, that purpose took on a new direction. Diana felt called to create a service that would guide seniors and families through one of life's most challenging transitions with honesty, clarity, and heartfelt support. Ron immediately recognized the importance of her vision. With his steady leadership and operational experience, he stepped into the role of cofounder, ensuring the agency would be built on a strong, ethical, and dependable foundation.

Today, Diana walks with families through the emotional journey of senior care, offering guidance rooted in compassion and deep experience. Ron provides the steady leadership and operational strength that keep Anew grounded and true to its mission.

Anew isn't just a business. It's a mission to help others find clarity, dignity, and a new beginning.

Diana's journey in healthcare began in 2008, when she started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in California's Central Valley. From the very beginning, her compassion for seniors was unmistakable. By 2012, she found her calling as a Home Health Aide with a local hospice company, where she considered it an honor to walk alongside patients and families during life's most vulnerable moments.

In 2018, Diana transitioned into hospice marketing, expanding her ability to support seniors and their loved ones on a broader scale. Over the next eight years, she built trusted relationships with care facilities, providers, and community partners throughout the Central Valley.

In 2025, driven by a desire to make an even greater impact, Diana founded Anew Senior Placement Agency, with a vision to create a place where every senior and every family could receive personalized guidance, steady support, and compassionate advocacy.

"Helping people in need is what I love most. It's why I started Anew, and it's why I wake up every day grateful to do this work."

Ron Plummer

Ron's commitment to service began at age 21 when he joined the U.S. Coast Guard. After completing his service in 1994, he became an EMT in 1999, the moment he discovered his true calling in helping others. In 2002, he became a full-time firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, where he continues to serve today after more than two decades on the front lines.

When Diana shared her vision for Anew in 2025, Ron stepped into the role of cofounder, drawing on decades of operational and management experience from fire service to shape the agency's foundation and day-to-day operations.

For Ron, service isn't only about being on the front lines. It's also about empowering others so they can lead with impact and compassion.
